Refund Policy
Returns & refunds
Tea is a perishable, consumable product. Once a sealed package has been opened, we are unable to accept returns. We do, however, stand behind every order — if your tea arrives damaged, defective, or different from what you ordered, we'll make it right.
Eligible returns
- Unopened, sealed packages within 30 days of delivery.
- Items damaged in transit (please include photos when you contact us).
- Incorrect items shipped — we'll replace at no cost.
Not eligible
- Opened tea pouches or tins, for food-safety reasons.
- Items returned more than 30 days after delivery.
- Sale or clearance items, unless damaged or defective.
- Gift cards.
How to start a return
Email store@chinaleaves.com with your order number and the reason for the return. We'll reply within two business days with next steps and, where applicable, a prepaid return label.
Refunds
Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll send you a confirmation email and issue a refund to your original payment method within 5–10 business days. Shipping charges on the original order are non-refundable unless the return is the result of our error.
Damaged or wrong items
If your order arrives damaged or you received the wrong item, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos. We'll replace the item at no cost or issue a full refund — your choice.
Exchanges
We don't process direct exchanges. If you'd like a different tea, return the unopened item for a refund and place a new order.
